He was reluctantly fired from Sporting after a subpar season and later saw the team he built be relegated. And now, on the cusp of a new adventure, hours away from being introduced in a press conference as the new coach of Villarreal, he gets called up for another job. To watch and guide us from above.
With tears in my eyes, I say Rest in Peace Manolo.
